miitomoThe wait is almost for Nintendo’s first smartphone game in the US. The game Miitomo will be launching in the US and Europe on March 31st for iOS and Android.

Miitomo is already a huge hit in Japan with one million downloads in just three days. It was the leading free app on the iPhone and the number 2 app on Android.

Miitomo is a social app where you build a Mii and then answer questions. The responses are then shared among your friends sparking further comments and reactions. When you take part in these exchanges you will get coins which you can use to buy clothes in the shop. Of course you can also get coins buy spending real money which Nintendo is counting on since the app is free.

We’ll have to wait and see if people outside of Japan will enjoy Miitomo as well.
